Students and teachers alike were really missing that face-to-face interaction. Thanks to Instagram, I came across something called the Flat Teacher Project. I loved the idea and wanted to recreate it to send to my students. Based on the idea of the Flat Stanley character, teachers were making Flat Teachers using Bitmojis, which became very popular during remote learning. I found a poem online for my students to read. Then I made a Bingo board as well for my students to have a fun activity to do with Flat Mrs. Champion. I then printed and laminated all the pieces and hand delivered them to all my students the first Saturday in June. It was so much fun to see their smiling faces as I went from house to house. I was so happy that I could bring a little cheer to my class during the uncertain time of everything occurring.
