Students in 6th-8th Grade are working on their volleyball skills in PE this month!
First, we start with practicing our volleyball skills such as underhand serving, forearm passing, and a one-hand overhead hit. Next, we move to small group games like Keep It Up to work on mastering our skills and improving communication with our teammates. Finally, once we have perfected each skill, we will participate in a class Volleyball Tournament. In June, 8th graders will have the opportunity to play in a Volleyball Tournament against the teachers!
Volleyball has many physical, mental, social, and life skill benefits that can improve your overall health, and you can continue to play throughout your life! Our local high schools have volleyball teams and often students who are trying out are first time players. There are also local leagues you can join to play as a kid and as an adult - competitive and for fun. There’s no limit on when you can start playing!
So, who’s up for a game of volleyball??
