The WMS Dance Team is so thankful for the support from our school community. Congratulations to all dance team members and guest dancers for a successful third annual Dance Showcase on March 6th! We had 25 different dances in many styles including hip hop, jazz, pom, acro, majorette and tap AND many guest dancers like WMS students, parents, teachers and WIS students! We are so grateful for everyone involved in making the show happen.
The dance team also competed in their first competition this January for their routine called “Barbie”! They were able to take home the 1st place trophy for middle school hip hop.
Lastly, we attended a dance show last week called “Rennie Harris Pure Movement” at the University of Pennsylvania. It was a cool show to teach and enjoy the history and growing styles of hip hop. What a great season of learning, team bonding, basketball game cheering & dancing, competition and showcase!
