moon

This fall, students in the sixth grade science classes began learning about astronomy, including the phases of the moon. To demonstrate what they learned, students worked in cooperative groups to create their own Lunar Calendars. Each group assembled 30 pictures of moon phases into the correct order, glued them down, labeled the phases, and added in other important information for the month that was chosen. In addition to the necessary information, students put forth a lot of effort and creativity to make their calendars neat and attractive as well. These lunar calendars are now hanging on a wall in the sixth grade hallway. Check out some of the amazing work created by our talented students!
