African flags

This spring, students in Mrs. McDonough’s sixth grade social studies classes completed a unit of study on Ancient Africa, with a culminating activity that enabled them to learn more about the countries of Africa today. Each student researched an African country and filled out a poster with the information gleaned. In addition to the statistical data, students were able to list interesting facts and color the country’s flag as well. These colorful posters now adorn a wall in the sixth grade hallway for all to stop and admire. Check out some of the amazing work created by our students!
