Impossible shot or is it? Students in the WMS P.E. classes were introduced to a new challenge in 2023. Students have the opportunity once a week to be nominated by their P.E. teachers to take on the challenge of trying to sink the impossible shot. Two students are selected from each class to step up to the line 10 feet away from a small tube and throw a tennis ball cleanly into the opening, seems impossible doesn’t it? Well, 2 of our WMS students have already mastered the challenge. Their names will be displayed on the “Impossible Shot Wall of Fame” and have been given certificates for their accomplishment.
The challenge requires students to meet certain criteria such as: being prepared for class and participating to the best of their ability, showing kindness and good sportsmanship, being respectful and helpful towards teachers and classmates. Students can be nominated more than once. We hope that this challenge will inspire our students to do their best and be a tool to positively motivate them to continue to display responsible behavior and fairplay. Not to mention that it is awesome to cheer on a classmate going for the Impossible Shot! Keep working hard and maybe you might just be next to take the shot!
