Students in 4th Grade don’t only get library books to read, they also get to enhance their listening skills when Mr. Leone reads to them. They learned about Michelle Obama and seemed to really enjoy listening. Once every week students in 4th Grade make their way to Library class. They have been taught how to find a book of their interest by using the library website, find it on their own within the library, then check it out and read. Mr. Leone also does lessons on skills learned in 4th Grade like figurative language, main idea/details, and non-fiction text features. Most every week there is an assessment in the Google Classroom on what they have learned. My students enjoy their Tuesday trip to the Library!
