During Read Across America week, the students at WIS did many fun things to strengthen their love of reading. This included participating in a school wide book swap and having guest readers come into the classrooms each day, including some of our wonderful middle school friends, our school principal, and the teachers from other grades. In Mrs. Kish and Mrs. Ziegler's class, we learned all about the history of Dr. Seuss and the themes of a few of his best sellers. We also worked on building our own Concrete Poems that will be displayed in the hall, developing our love for creative writing.
