Laura Bush, in her famous quote, said: “I have found the most valuable thing in my wallet is my library card.”
Students in 4th Grade Language Arts classes get to visit the Library once a week this year. They are allowed to choose 2 books. Library is just not about getting a book, though. Mr. Leone does Reading skills lessons, reads books aloud to the students, and teaches them the skills to find a good book at any library. The students love to go to Library class. Here is a picture of Mr. Leone reading to my class. He is reading the book 26 Fairmount Avenue, by Tomie DePaola. The students really enjoy it.
