Westampton Intermediate School

In the spirit of celebrating Black History Month, students in Mr. Harper’s Language Arts class participated in a research project to learn about the trials, tribulations, and ultimate successes of notable African Americans, throughout our country’s history. The cross-curricular assignment called for students to research two people of interest and take notes on the relevant information surrounding their contributions to society. Being the compare and contrast essay is our focus in the writing portion of Language Arts, students will be tasked to type a compare and contrast essay about their two research subjects, in addition to a Google slides presentation. Overall, the students enjoyed the project and were pleasantly surprised by the information they discovered.
