kindness

During the month of October, WIS students learn about the many ways they can show kindness to others. Mrs. Carmichael, our school counselor, came to each classroom and read aloud the book “Kindness is Cooler” by Margery Cuy. The story is about a teacher who helps her students understand that simple acts of kindness make a difference in our community, school, and home. All month long students in both 4th and 5th grade have been recording acts of kindness on paper hearts. Then, the hearts are displayed in the hallway. The goal is to reach the most acts of kindness by the end of October. In the end, students learn that simple acts of kindness make the world a better place.

Special thanks to Ms. Kish's class for showing great examples!
