  • Students wanting to participate in extra curricular activities must earn good grades and exhibit proper behavior as outlined in the student handbook (click on the 'Discipline' link on the left to view the handbook).

    All students must return a completed permission slip before before staying after school for an activity.  Additional requirements apply for intramurals and athletic teams.  For your convenience, you may utilize the appropriate links provided at the bottom of this page to access related paperwork.  


    All clubs conclude by 4:30 so that students may board the late bus.  If you are picking-up your child, then please arrive before 4:25 pm. Participants may take the late bus home, or to the after care program at the Holly Hills School.  Please communicate your needs to your child.

    Visit "Sports Zone" to view information related to participating on an athletic team.  Please know that tryouts/practices for athletic teams end by 5 p.m.  Ending times for games vary.  Car pooling is encouraged and permitted with a note from a parent/guardian.  No courtesy busing is provided at the conclusion of athletic events.  Athletes must be picked-up at their respective field location by 5 pm.

    Below please find the activities students in which students may have the opportunity to participate.


    Band:  Students in Grades 6-8 who have had or are taking instrumental instructions are selected for this activity.  Practices occur during advisory period and after school.

    Battle of the Books is an extracurricular reading enrichment club.  Participants read from a list of 15 titles for each competition bracket.  The lists change every year.  These students will be tested on their knowledge of the current year's titles.  The top 6 students in each competition bracket will be sent to the Burlington County competitions in the spring. 

    Chorus:  All students in Grades 6-8 may participate in this activity.  Meetings are held during the Advisory/Band/Chorus period and occasionally after school. 
     
    Drama Club:
      All students in Grades 6-8 may participate in this activity.  The students will perform a play in the spring.

    Newspaper:  This program will help to develop journalistic skills for those who have an interest in writing.  A paper will be published for students in both school building during the school year.  All students in grades 6-8 may participate in this activity.

    Sports:  Students in Grades 6-8 may have the opportunity to participate in interscholastic sports.  A current physical, health history questionnaire, and permission slip are required and must be submitted to the main office at least 2 school days before the first day of tryouts to ensure eligibility for all tryout dates.  Tryouts normally occur over a three day period.  Participants are encouraged to attend each day to improve their chances of being selected for their respective team.
    The following sports may be offered: 
    Fall Season - Soccer (Co-ed) and Girls' Field Hockey

    Winter Season - Boys' and Girls' Basketball
    Spring Season - Baseball and Softball
    VISIT ATHLETICS FOR DIRECTIONS TO AWAY/HOME EVENTS!!!

    Student Council:  Student Council elections will be held in June.  Meetings are held once a month.  Officers may meet more frequently.

    Yearbook:  The yearbook committee is offered to students in Grades 7 and 8 only.  Activities begin in October and continue through until June.  Meetings vary according to scheduled activities.
